Parklife Festival 2010

June 22, 2010

Grab your tent and wellies, it’s that time of the year again – it’s Festival season! Tickets were sold in record time out for the hotly anticipated Parklife Festival 2010 situated in England’s Manchester. The Parklife festival takes place annually in Manchester’s Platt Fields with this year featuring over 40 acts across 6 stages with a line up that consisted of names such as Friendly Fires and Booka Shade. There was a real emphasis on value for money, top quality acts and other kinds of madness planned in order to kick start Summer with a bang. There are still opportunities to acquire tickets through competitions in the Bench Live website for other festivals such as Melt and Creamfields. The opportunity to win festival tickets will still be appealing to many.  I will certainly try to win a ticket. For more information about the Parklife Festival and other music events, check out the Bench Live website – my favourite place to get the latest news and views from the music world.

Bench Live!

June 8, 2010

One of my favourite clothing brands has just built a new micro site called Bench Live (www.bench-live.com). This new website has been launched to increase Bench’s brand awareness and help Bench promote their music heritage that they are heavily involved in. In recent years Bench has been associated with Festivals such as Manchester’s Parklife Festival, Creamfields and Liverpool Sound City. I’ve had a browse through the website and it looks great. Bench Live provides you with information about forthcoming festivals and music events. You can purchase tickets to these events through this site and the opportunity to take part in competitions in order to win free tickets. There are interviews with music stars such as Lisa Lashes, Paul Van Dyke and The Sunshine Underground. There are fashion tips to what to wear to these events with a link back to the Bench Shop website. Basically everything you need if you’re a clothes and music fan…which I am.

One look that will stay around for a while is the lumberjack look. These are casual shirts that are checked (tartanesque) and provides the image that you cut down trees for a living. I do like the look, it is just so common though. Absolutely everyone has one of these checked casual shirts. I am even wearing one of these shirts as I am writing this. I would wear these shirts more often it they were a bit more original. However, some of my favourites come courtesy of Bench who have a cool range of casual shirts.

Bench Watches

May 17, 2010

One of my favourite brands Bench, normally renowned for their Jeans and T-shirts have got their own range of Bench Watches. I’m really into my watches and these just look like they do the trick. With so much competition around right now, these Bench Watches seem to stand out for me.  I do love my accessories like neck chains, rings etc, but I never leave the house without a watch. With my birthday not too far away, perhaps a Bench Watch might just be the ticket.
